CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> September 10; 1974 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Miedtke at 7:37 P.M. <br /> The folowing were presentat roll call: Sauer, Haik, Sundland, Stauffer, Miedtke. <br /> Also present: Jerry Dulgar, City Manager <br /> Larry Vickrey, City Attorney <br /> Jim Fornell, Adm. Asst. <br /> The following corrections were made in the Council Minutes of September 3, 1974 : <br /> Page 2, para 4 to read: Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by <br /> Councilman Sauer to authorize the issuance of a building permit for the <br /> Bernu office building as presented, subject to the approval of the <br /> fire and building departments and the Building Inspector and to refer the <br /> landscaping and signing plans back to the Planning Board for their review <br /> and action. <br /> Page 2, para. 7: Add after Planning Board --with future parking plans <br /> noted, for their review and action. <br /> Page 6,last paragraph the motion is "to approve Change Order No. 1 as <br /> recommended by Constructive Design providing for. . . . . . ." <br /> • Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to approve the Council <br /> minutes of September 31, 1974 as amended. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The City Manager reported on discussions with Dean Anklan, Ramsey County Engineer, <br /> regzrding the acquisition of right of way easements for the proposed Silver Lake <br /> Road improvement project. He reitterated that Ramsey County has more staff to do <br /> the job. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to have the City Manager <br /> get the St. Anthony representatives on the Ramsey County Agenda for the purpose <br /> of convincing the County that they are in a better position to obtain the <br /> necessary easements for the proposed Silver Lake Road Improvement Project and to <br /> encourage St. Anthony civic leaders to attend the meeting. <br /> Councilman Stauffer expressed concern about pedestrian and bicyclists' safety and <br /> wants to be certain that provisions are made in the plan to accomodate them. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Vern Peterson appeared on behalf of the St. Anthony Kiwanis and solicited the <br /> Council's support for the annual Peanut Day, proceeds from which help various <br /> local civic youth and social groups. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to approve the <br /> • Kiwanis Peanut Day on Friday, September 27, 1974 with the understanding that <br /> traffic is not be be tied up by solicitors. <br /> Motion carried . <br />
