• CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MI­NUTES <br /> • September 21+,1974 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Miedtke at 7:30 P.M. <br /> The following were present for roll call: Sauer, Sundland, Miedtke, Sta-.-fifer. <br /> Absent: Haik <br /> Also present: Jerry Dulgar, City Manager <br /> Jim Fornell, Adm. Asst. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve the <br /> minutes of the September 10, 1974 Council meeting. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Ken Heibel of the Planning Board presented recommendations from the Board <br /> to the Council from the Board's minutes of their September 17, 1974 meeting. <br /> Mr. Mike Peterson of the Bernu Construction Company presented the parking, <br /> landscaping and lighting plans for the three story office building his <br /> company proposed to build in the St. Anthony Office Park and described the <br /> free standing sign which the company was requesting a sign variance to build <br /> in front of the building. <br /> • Councilman Haik arrived at 7:40 P.M. <br /> Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to approve the <br /> plans as presented for the Bernu building, with the stipulation that the <br /> applicant agrees to provide additional parking space, if needed; the tree <br /> specified by the Planning Board be positioned to allow for any needed ex- <br /> pansion of the parking area; lighting of the exterior of the building be re- <br /> duced after 10 P.M. and an application be made for a sign variance. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to direct the <br /> Planning Board to hold a public hearing on a sign variance for a free standing <br /> identification sign to be placed in front of the Midwest Professional Bldg. <br /> in the St. Anthony Office Park. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The recommendation was made to Mr. Heibel that the Planning Board might give <br /> consideration to changing the sign ordinance to allow free standing identifi- <br /> cation signs after they have completed their work on the revision of the <br /> zoning ordinance. <br /> Mr. Mike Donatele presented his revised parking, landscaping and lighting <br /> plans for the machine shop he and his brother have started construction on at <br /> • Chandler Drive and Foss Road. There was some discussion of the possibility <br /> of the Donateles acquiring the adjoining land owned by Happy Potato Chip <br /> for additional parking, if needed. <br />
