She was instructed <br /> to express the Council's willingness to participate in any community plans for <br /> such a celebration and to invite Mrs. Just to appear before the Council at <br /> their October 8th meeting. <br /> Councilman Haik, who with Mayor Miedtke is a member of the committee who are <br /> evaluating the priorities for the use of Parkview Elementary school building, <br /> told the Council that the committee would have to come to some conclusion by <br /> February and that she felt that long before that time they should have from <br /> the City Manager and Mr. Buhrt their recommendations of how the school property <br /> could fit into the needs of the City for a new city hall and recreational <br /> facilities. <br /> • Motion by Councilman SundlandI seconded by Councilman Stauffer to direct the <br /> City Manager and the Community Services Director to prepare an evaluation <br /> of the needs of the City and a comparison of the costs of using the school <br /> building or renovating the present City facilities for a city hall and to <br /> ascertain from the architect the approximate cost and time would take for him <br /> to evaluate Parkview as a city hall. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to grant heating <br /> licenses to the St. Marie Sheet Metal Company, C.O. Carlson Air Conditioning <br /> and Lakeland North as well as a cigarette license to the Pizza Hut. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Haik to table action on the <br /> final payment of $1,000 to the Electric Service Company until all the problems <br /> with the lighting of the tennis courts have been resolved. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to approve payment <br /> of $2,976.98 to the Dorsey Firm for services rendered during July, 1974. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> • Motion by Mayor Miedtke, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to approve payment of <br /> $1,035.55 to Soil Exploration for testing in connection with the 197+ Street <br />
