RESOLUTION 74-031 <br /> s <br /> A RESOLUTION REIATING TO PARTICIPATION IN THE <br /> • SUBURBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY NURSING DISTRICT <br /> Motion carried. <br /> After the attorney had explained the preparation of Highcrest Road vacation <br /> cost to Councilman Haik the following motion was i.ade: <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to approve payment <br /> of $2,106.5+ to the Dorsey Firm for services rendered during August, 197+. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Mayor Miedtke to approve payment of <br /> $414.00 to Constructive Design for architectural engineering work on the liquor <br /> lounge remodelling project. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve payment <br /> of $52,833.60 to Henning Nelson for their work on the liquor lounge. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve Change <br /> Orders #2 and #3 and payment of $377.80 to Henning Nelson. <br /> • Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to approve payment <br /> of all verified claims listed in the October 8. 197+ agenda. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Fran Schuck's letter regarding the costs of a feasibility study on the <br /> existing Parkview School building for the purpose of remodelling part or all of <br /> the building for a municipal building was discussed. <br /> Motion by Mayor Miedtke to engage the architect to conduct a feasibility study <br /> of Parkview on the basis of the criteria contained in his initial report on <br /> this space died for lack of a second. <br /> Following a straw vote of Council members in which there was no consensus of <br /> approval for the move from the present municipal building to Parkview, the <br /> following motion was made: <br /> Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sauar to table action on <br /> the feasibility study until the Council is in receipt of the report from the <br /> Manager and the Community Services Director in which their evaluation of the <br /> city needs are given. <br /> • Motion carried. <br /> Some of the proposals for City participation in the Bicentennial Celebration <br /> were planting of memorial trees on 29th Avenue N.E. when it is upgraded, writing <br /> of the history of the community, a special flag raising ceremony and inclusion <br /> of the commemoration in the October Frest activities for 1975. <br />
