Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Haik to indicate a general approval of the agreement between the City and the Salvation Army subject to revisions suggested by the Council and staff and to direct the City Manager to negotiate such an agreement with the Salvation Army. Pdotion carried. Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Sundland to table action on the final payment on the Lamppa contract for Water Project 197+-1 until the January loth Council meeting. Motion carried. Motion by Mayor Miedtke, seconded by Councilman Haik to authorize expenditures up to $50 by the Bicentennial Celebration Committee for mailings and resource material. • Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to refer to the Planning Board for review and recommendations that section of the City Sign Ordinance that relates to the free standing signs. Motion carried. Mr. Dulgar reported on his negotiations on a contract with the Police Department. Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Sauer to grant all licenses carried in the December 10th, 197+ agenda and addendum. Motion carried. Mr. Vickrey and Mr. Dulgar commented on several items in the fee statement from the Dorsey Firm and the following motion was made: I-lotion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to approve payment of $2,826.00 to the Dorsey Firm. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Haik to approve, payment of all • verified claims listed in the December 10th agenda with the exception of the item regarding a payment to Comstock & Davis which had been previously approved. Motion carried.
