Bottemiller, <br /> Resident Engineer of the Minesota Highway Department, which indicated the <br /> Highway Department's intention of placing pedestrian curb ramps through the <br /> alley on the west side of Silver Lake Road north of St. Anthony Boulevard. <br /> The possibility of the recent Supreme Court case concerning zoning laws being <br /> germane to future requests for zoning variances in St. Anthony was discussed <br /> and Mr. Vickrey's memo on the subject was filed as informational . <br /> The meeting was recessed from 9:24 P.M. to 9:38 P.M. and reconvened to <br /> consider recommendations contained in the August 28, 1975 memo from the City <br /> Attorney regarding the assessments which have never been placed against property <br /> owned by the Apache Corporation and Northern Gopher Enterprises, Inc. , because <br /> the City had refused to recognize the subdivisions of those properties. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland,seconded by Councilman Stauffer to indicate <br /> • approval of the subdivisions of Lot 2 and 3, Block 2, Apache Plaza and Lots <br /> 1 and 2, Block 1 , Apache Plaza, 2nd Division, and to direct the Manager to <br /> recertify that property to the County Treasurer for collection of delinquent <br /> assessments. The Manager is further directed to arrange a meeting with the <br /> Apache Corporation to discuss the methods of co; lecting these assessments and the <br /> City Attorney is directed to prepare the necessary forms and resolutions. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Counc! ]M n Stauffer to declare <br /> the intent of the Council to recertify the platting of Lots 1 thru 12, Block 9, <br /> Moundsview Acres for collection of assessments by the County Treasurer and <br /> to direct the City Manager to relay this intent to the owners. The Council <br /> also directs the City Attorney to prepare the documents necessary for im- <br /> plementation of the motion while attempting to find some method of retaining <br /> the open spaces as it relates to the density of the property. <br /> Participation If the Council in the St. Anthony Urangler Day, September 14th <br /> was discussed including the softball game between the City officials and the <br /> Sports Boosters and the appearance of former City officials at the celebration. <br /> Councilman Stauffer reported that members o` the confirmation class from <br /> Nativity Lutheran Church anticipated visits to the Council meetings as part of <br /> their "Christian in Government" project. <br /> • Mr. Dulgar reported how costly it would be for the City to remove the antique <br /> street lights which remain in the City and asked permission to trade them to <br /> Minneapolis. Councilman Haik said she would prefer retaining them for their <br /> historical value. <br />
