3 <br /> of Ramsey County turning Silver Lane back to the City. <br /> • Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Roy Anderson and John Wagner, co chairmen of the St. Anthony Kiwanis Club Peanut <br /> Day Sale, presented their request to be allowed to sell peanuts at City street <br /> corners, etc. on September 26th. Theycited various civic activities the proceeds <br /> of the sale would help to fund. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to allow the <br /> Kiwanis Club to sell peanuts in St. Anthony on September 26th provided the sales <br /> do not contribute to the congestion nor impede traffic on City streets. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The Mayor then proclaimed September 26, 1975 as Kiwanis Peanut Day in the City <br /> of St. Anthony. <br /> During the discussion of the Purchase of Service Agreement between the City and <br /> the Metropolitan Council which would implement the rent subsidy program in the <br /> City,the Attorney raised some questions regarding the maximum payment for which <br /> the Metropolitan Council would be liable and it was decided to have Mr. Fornell <br /> clarify the point with the Metro Council and to table action on the agreement <br /> until the September 23 Council meeting for further attorney review. <br /> Motion by Mayor Miedtke and seconded by Councilman Stauffer to adopt the resol- <br /> ution relating to participation in the Suburban Hennepin County Nursing District. <br /> Before voting on the above resolution the following motion to table was made: <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Sauer to table action on the <br /> resolution for further information regarding the time actually spent in the <br /> community by the nursing service and to ascertain what alternative services <br /> would be available to City residents in the event the services of the Suburban <br /> Nursing District were discontinued. <br /> Motion to table carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Haik to direct the Manager to <br /> Inform all the St. Anthony property owners on County Road C. of the public <br /> meeting to be held October 8th, 1975 regarding Ramsey County's pians to upgrade <br /> that road from 0.1d Highway 8 to Cleveland Avenue in Roseville during 1976. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Haik to direct the Manager <br /> to inform the City's congressional delegation of the Council 's opposition to <br /> H.R. 6731 , a resolution supporting the liberalization of the federal tax treat- <br /> ment for industrial revenue bonds. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> • Motion by Mayor Miedtke, seconded by Councilman Sundland to indicate to Ramsey <br /> County the City's willingness and interest in participating on the proposed <br /> Lake Surface Use Action Committee and of the appointment of Councilman Haik to <br /> represent the City on the committee which the Council does not feel necessarily <br /> has to be committee of the Ramsey County League of Municipalities. <br />
