5 <br /> Councilman Haik reported on her meetings with Representatives John Sarna and <br /> • Stan Fudro and said another meeting had been Set for the next day with these <br /> legislators as well as the Commissioner of Highways to discuss the possibility <br /> of obtaining MSA funds for the roadway if it were constructed with the parkway <br /> design. She also mentioned further investigation of the possibility that <br /> there might he State funds availa5le to compensate the City for damage done <br /> to 29th Avenue when it was used as a detour during the construction of Highway <br /> B. She wanted action delayed for two weeks to give time to get the approval <br /> of the proposed design and agreement to pay the larger assessments from the <br /> property owners , Mr. Tom Shaeffer, the T.A.P. spokesman raised some objections to <br /> the wording of the resolution and Mr. Vickrey suggested a petition signed by <br /> the residents would be preferable to signed agreements. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to table action for <br /> two weeks on Resolution 75-038 and to authorize Councilman Haik and the City <br /> Engineer to meet with the pertinent legislators and the Commissioner of Highways <br /> to attempt to obtain MSA funding for the parkway design for 29th Avenue as <br /> approved in concept by the Council . <br /> Motion to table carried unanimously. <br /> Councilmen Sundland left the meeting at 10:25 P.M. <br /> Motion by Mayor Miedtke, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to continue membership <br /> in the Suburban Health llursing Service. <br /> • Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Miedtke, Stauffer <br /> Play: Sauer and Haik <br /> Motion not carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Sauer to direct the City <br /> Manager to contact the Hennepin County Health Coalition indicating the City has <br /> dropped its membership in the Suburban Public Health Nursing Service and to get <br /> an assessment from them on what nursing services might be available from them <br /> to city residents. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Mayor Miedtke, seconded by Councilman Sauer to e,iter into a Purchase <br /> of Service Agreement between the City and the Metro Council which would implement <br /> the rent subsidy program in St. Anthony subject to changes whereby the City <br /> may terminate the agreement with a 30 day prior notice without cost and the <br /> inclusion of a schedule of payments. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Sauer to authorize the <br /> George M. Hansen Company to perform the 1976 audit for the City. <br /> • Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The September 4, 1975 letter from the Association of Metro Municipalities with <br /> position reports was filed as informational . <br />
