2 The Council directed the Manager to increase the transfer from the • revenue sharing fund to the park maintenance fund by $2,000.00 to provide for the resurfacing of the tennis courts which are deteriorating badly. Motion by Sally Haik, seconded by Donna Stauffer to adopt Resolution 75-040. RESOLUTION 75-o4o A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1976 BUDGET Motion carried unanimously. At 9:30 P.M. the Council resumed the discussion of 29th Avenue. Councilman Sauer withdrew his earlier motion to allow more discussion on another motion. The Council , residents of the street and staff discussed the subject at length. Motion by Sally Haik, seconded by Bob Sundland to interview engineering firms that have experience in designing parkways along the lines of the concept presented tonight with the intention of hiring one of those firms to prepare the plans and seek approval from the state of those plans. The Council discussed the motion. Voting on -the motion: Aye: Sally Haik Nay: Duane Miedtke, Bob Sundland, Bill Sauer, Donna Stauffer Discussion of the problem continued. Motion by Bob Sundland, seconded by Sally Haik to direct the City Engineer to revise the plans for 29th Avenue N.E. incorporating the suggestions contained in District State Aid Engineer, C.E. Weichsel- baum's letter of September 30th but at 24' in width instead of 32' as he suggested. The steering committee is to prepare a cover letter to accompany the plans which the committee will submit along with Representative John Sarna. The request for approval is to include a request that if the plans are rejected the city would like comments and/or suggestions sent back. Motion carried unanimously. The City Manager requested that the Council approve a change in the election judges appointed for the November 4th election as two of the judges would not be able to work. Motion by Bill Sauer, seconded by Donna Stauffer to approve the re- commended changes. c
