2 <br /> The Council directed the Manager to increase the transfer from the <br /> • revenue sharing fund to the park maintenance fund by $2,000.00 to <br /> provide for the resurfacing of the tennis courts which are deteriorating <br /> badly. <br /> Motion by Sally Haik, seconded by Donna Stauffer to adopt Resolution <br /> 75-040. <br /> RESOLUTION 75-o4o <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1976 <br /> BUDGET <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> At 9:30 P.M. the Council resumed the discussion of 29th Avenue. <br /> Councilman Sauer withdrew his earlier motion to allow more discussion <br /> on another motion. <br /> The Council , residents of the street and staff discussed the subject <br /> at length. <br /> Motion by Sally Haik, seconded by Bob Sundland to interview engineering <br /> firms that have experience in designing parkways along the lines of the <br /> concept presented tonight with the intention of hiring one of those firms <br /> to prepare the plans and seek approval from the state of those plans. <br /> The Council discussed the motion. <br /> Voting on -the motion: <br /> Aye: Sally Haik <br /> Nay: Duane Miedtke, Bob Sundland, Bill Sauer, Donna Stauffer <br /> Discussion of the problem continued. <br /> Motion by Bob Sundland, seconded by Sally Haik to direct the City <br /> Engineer to revise the plans for 29th Avenue N.E. incorporating the <br /> suggestions contained in District State Aid Engineer, C.E. Weichsel- <br /> baum's letter of September 30th but at 24' in width instead of 32' <br /> as he suggested. The steering committee is to prepare a cover letter <br /> to accompany the plans which the committee will submit along with <br /> Representative John Sarna. The request for approval is to include a <br /> request that if the plans are rejected the city would like comments <br /> and/or suggestions sent back. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The City Manager requested that the Council approve a change in the <br /> election judges appointed for the November 4th election as two of <br /> the judges would not be able to work. <br /> Motion by Bill Sauer, seconded by Donna Stauffer to approve the re- <br /> commended changes. <br /> c <br />
