Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Haik to <br /> direct the Acting Manager to solicit tenants for the unused portion <br /> of the old city hall. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Fornell then discussed his recommendations that the Council adopt <br /> a billing policy for private parties who use the City' s Public Works <br /> equipment. He was to discuss any questions regarding the City 's <br /> liability for renting out such manned equipment with the City Attorney <br /> and the City's insurance carrier. <br /> Councilman Sundland said in view of the difficulty the City would <br /> have in subsidizing the care given to City residents by the North <br /> Suburban Development Achievement Center, he could not foresee a <br /> possibility of finding funds in the City's budget for the request from <br /> the Animal Humane Society. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Haik to not <br /> contribute to the Animal Humane Society because of lack of funds. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Fornell will research other sources of funding and the North <br /> Suburban Center's request will be included in the budget considerations <br /> in September. <br /> There was some question as to whether the odd shaped vacant lot on <br /> the southwest corner of Old Highway 8 and 33rd Avenue N.E. , which <br /> Mr. Richard Hara, 3025 Croft Drive had expressed an interest in <br /> purchasing, will have to be replatted before a dwelling can be erected <br /> there. Mr. Fornell said the lot can only be sold by public auction. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Haik to request <br /> the Acting City Manager to consult the City Attorney as to what pro- <br /> cess is necessary to sell the vacant property at the southwest corner <br /> of Old Highway 8 and 33rd Avenue N.E. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik and seconded by Councilman Sauer to adopt <br /> the resolution which will designate Highcrest Road between 37th Avenue <br /> N.E. and 33rd Avenue N.E. , as a M.S.A.- road. <br /> RESOLUTION 77-038 <br /> A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING HIGHCREST ROAD AS <br /> A MUNICIPAL STATE AID ROAD <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The June Police Report was filed. <br /> • <br /> (3) <br />
