• Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Sauer to table action on the fees charged Mr. Hedlund for the Penrod Addition plat so that the Manager may investigate what the City' s policy has been in similar instances and whether the City Attorney' s efforts had been dupli- cated to any degree by the Ramsey County Platting Commission in this case. Motion carried unanimously. The October Fire and Police Department reports as well as the- narrative reports from Fire Chief Hall and Police Chief Hickerson were filed. Mr. Fornell said the latter will resume the practice of designating juvenile crimes on the Police report soon. Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Haik to set Public Hearings on Year IV Community Block Grant Funding for 7: 30 p.m. December 20 ; 1977 during the Planning Board meeting and at 8 :00 p.m. during the Council meeting scheduled for January 10, 1978. Motion carried unanimously. The Manager assured Councilman Haik that all organizations who had been notified of the grant hearings in 1977 would again be contacted as well as all apartment residents who had requested a special notification. Councilman Stauffer said Reverend Martin and Mrs. Hultgren plan to attend the next Council meeting to propose that the Drug Awareness Committee be appointed by the Council and will present a list of names of persons who have indicated a willingness to serve. Councilman Sundland reported that the salary agreement reached with the City Manager will be reviewed by the City Attorney and presented for Council acceptance on December 13th. The Mayor requested a joint meeting with District #282 School Board be scheduled for December and asked for a report from the Manager on the bonded indebtedness of the Parkview building as well as review of consi- derations of taking all responsibility for building operations from the school district. Motion by Councilman Stauffer and seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve payment of all Verified Claims listed in the November 22 , 1977 Agenda. Motion carried unanimously.
