Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Haik to adopt the resolution which reapportions the special assessments in conjunction with the Beutz plat. RESOLUTION 77-061 RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE APPORTIONMENT OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Councilman Sauer and seconded by Councilman Sundland to adopt the resolution which creates a fund for CDBG revenues. RESOLUTION 77-062 A RESOLUTION CREATING FUND NO. 18 TO ACCOUNT FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Fornell reported on the comprehensive planning being done by City staff and BRW,, Inc. , to meet the requirements of the Metropolitan Council and said the addition of the $2, 000 Community Development Block Grant for a housing study to the funds allocated for the Comprehensive Plan would result in a total budget of $10, 747 . Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Sauer to adopt the resolution authorizing the City Manager to apply for partial Metro Council funding of the planning. RESOLUTION 77-063 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR A COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING GRANT TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL Motion carried unanimously. The Manager said he was moderately pleased with the animal patrol ser- vices being provided by M.A.P.S. I. and although there had been between a 10% to 15% increase in the charges for the services, suggested the con- tract for 1978 be signed. However, he said he will check with New Brighton to see if they can provide the same services on a cooperative (2)
