-4- <br /> Motion by Mayor Haik and seconded by Councilman Sundland to direct <br /> • the Manager to bring back for Council consideration designs and <br /> cost estimates for remodeling the liquor lounge at Apache . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> There was no interest on the Council for reconsideration of the zero <br /> lot line concept for the Sid Johnson property on 39th Avenue N.E . <br /> In response to a request from the St. Anthony Gardenettes that the <br /> planted area near the Highway 8 entrance to the City be formally <br /> named and identified by a sign. The Council discussed alternative <br /> names. The Manager suggested "St. Anthony Civic Park" and the <br /> Council - agreed that that name should be proposed to the groups in- <br /> volved. <br /> Councilman Letourneau reminded -the Council of the dedication of the <br /> new St. Anthony National Bank facilities . <br /> Councilman Sauer asked whether the question of what constituted a <br /> "general circulation newspaper" had been resolved. Diane O'Brien, <br /> of the St. Anthony Bulletin, said her editor know of no ruling which <br /> necessitated publication of notices in any but the legal paper desig- <br /> nated as such by the City; and Mr ., Soth said he believed the confu- <br /> sion had resulted from a conservative reaction of someone in his <br /> firm to a poorly defined statute . <br /> • Motion by Councilman Sauer and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> grant all licenses listed under "Heating" in the July 10 , 1979 Agenda . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Sundland <br /> to grant a vending machine license to the Woolworth Company. <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Sauer to <br /> approve payment of $1, 046 . 75 to BRW, Inc . for work on the City' s <br /> Comprehensive Plan during May, 1979 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Sundland <br /> to approve payment of $4 , 257 to the London Construction Company for <br /> the tennis courts construction. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Soth left the meeting at 9 : 30 p.m. prior to the staff presentation <br /> on data processing systems . <br /> • <br />
