.. -4- <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> concur with the understanding regarding charges for engineering <br /> services in regard to the sanitary sewer diversion project as set <br /> forth in the Short-Elliott-Hendrickson letter of August 9 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Soth confirmed that recent legislation does not permit the City <br /> to issue the temporary wine license requested by St. Charles ' parish <br /> for their steak fry. However, -the following action was taken regarding <br /> the sale of beer: <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Sundland <br /> to grant a temporary beer license and waive the customary fees for <br /> the same for the St. Charles parish steak fry, September 14 , 1979 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Gary Fey, proprietor of the St. Anthony Fun Center, appeared to give <br /> a progress report of his operation after six months. He discussed <br /> the supervision of the center and steps he has taken to prevent its <br /> operation from becoming a nuisance to other businesses in the area. <br /> No specific complaints had been received from Council members nor <br /> staff, and Mr. Fornell reported the Police Department felt Mr. Fey <br /> was doing a good job of maintaining an orderly operation. The <br /> center proprietor gave each Council member a card with his home <br /> and business number requesting they get in touch with him immediately <br /> • if they should receive any complaints. <br /> Mayor Haik saw the Municipal Revenue and Housing Advisory Committees <br /> of the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities as those whose <br /> functions might be especially helpful to the City. Council members <br /> who are interested in serving on any AMM committee will inform the <br /> Manager so he can forward the names. <br /> The July fire and June police reports were ordered filed. <br /> Mr. Fornell showed the plans drawn up by Harrison House for the <br /> proposed renovation of the liquor lounge at Apache and recommended <br /> bids be solicited for this component of the job. A preliminary <br /> quote for costs other than those from Harrison is being prepared by <br /> the Public Works Director for Council consideration at the next <br /> meeting and the Manager said he anticipates the entire project will <br /> be within the suggested budget of $75, 000 . ' <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> authorize the soliciting of bids for the specifications proposed <br /> by Harrison House to be awarded by the Council at their September <br /> 11 meeting. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The listing of a restaurant license for the building previously <br /> housing the Three Circles Restaurant was removed from the Agenda <br /> at the suggestion of Mr. Berg who said he was waiting for submission <br /> of suitable plans for remodeling the building. <br />
