CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> October 9 , 1979 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Haik at 7 :30 p.m. <br /> Present for roll call : Letourneau, Ranallo, Haik, Sundland and Sauer. <br /> Also present: Jim Fornell, City Manager; William Soth, City Attorney; <br /> Ron Berg, Administrative Assistant; and Carol Johnson, Clerk/Treasurer. <br /> Mr. Fornell requested the reference to the street lighting for Foss <br /> Road on Page 7 of the September 25 Council meeting minutes be clari- - <br /> fied to indicate that only one street light will be -placed near_ the <br /> townhouses on- Foss - Road with the existing light on the south elimi- <br /> nated �n conformance with the lighting plan developed with Northern <br /> States Power. Council members agreed they understood that was the <br /> plan which was approved. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to approve the minutes for the Council meeting held September 25 , <br /> 1979 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The minutes for the October 2 meeting of the City ' s Cable T.V. Advisory <br /> • Committee were discussed with Mr. Berg and Councilman Letourneau. <br /> Mr. Berg told Mayor Haik the option of looking at the facility re- <br /> cently adopted by Minneapolis was left open. Funding of the Committee <br /> should be set aside from the Council 's Contingency Fund rather than <br /> establishing a separate fund for that purpose, Mr. Fornell suggested, <br /> and the Council concurred. Mr. Berg had submitted a proposed budget. <br /> The City Manager's October 3 suggestions for alternative staffing <br /> policy, as worked out with the Fire Department, were also accepted <br /> in the following: <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer and seconded by Councilman Sundland to <br /> adopt Resolution 79-063. <br /> RESOLUTION 79-063 <br /> A RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE 1979 BUDGET <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Staff had provided two options regarding the 1979 tax levy and the <br /> Council chose the form of resolution which calls for a levy of <br /> $509 , 892 by adopting Resolution 79-068 .- <br /> Motion <br /> 9-068 .Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> adopt Resolution 79-068 which approves the 1980 budget and certifies <br /> the 1979-80 property tax levy. <br />
