-6- <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Ranallo <br /> to grant a restaurant license for the Good Luck Cafe , 2700 Coolidge <br /> Street N.E. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer and seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to approve payment of all Verified Claims listed in the October 23 , <br /> 1979 Agenda. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to approve payment of $73. 70 to Weaver, Talle & Herrick for legal <br /> services regarding the Johnson Florist litigation. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer and seconded by Councilman Sundland to <br /> approve payment of $2, 301 to the Dorsey firm for legal services <br /> during August, 1979 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Berg told Councilman Letourneau the sewer rate charged the <br /> Northgate Motel is being reconsidered since the swimming pool has <br /> • been eliminated. However, the Public Works Department is also <br /> checking on why the consumption remains high since the pool has <br /> been closed. <br /> Mayor Haik reported receiving a number of complaints from parents <br /> regarding the hours younger children are allowed to stay in the <br /> center as well as "some of the contacts made down there" . Councilman <br /> Ranallo said a claim which could not be verified was made to him that <br /> a youth who was recently killed on a vehicle on St. Anthony Boulevard <br /> had been at the center prior to the accident. Mr. Swan said he had <br /> noticed "kids hanging around that area long after the center ' s hour <br /> of operation, and felt this facility presented more problems than <br /> the games in the Apache Shopping Center whose hours are the same as <br /> the center. Jim Olson, a candidate for a Council seat, was told <br /> the City does have a noise ordinance which could apply to the center. <br /> City Staff will instigate more stringent enforcement of the existing <br /> curfew for those under 16, as discussed with the City Attorney. <br /> Councilman Sundland complimented the staff on the fine newsletter <br /> which had gone out with the water bills and suggested the Police, <br /> Fire and Public Works Departments should be complimented for the <br /> orderly fashion in which the high school homecoming activities were <br /> carried out this year as compared to past events. Mr. Webber agreed, <br /> saying the neighbors around the school never even knew the activities <br /> were in progress this year. He was also very appreciative of the <br /> • <br />
