1 5. December Work Session. There will be no Work Session in December due <br /> 2 to the Truth in Taxation meetings. O <br /> 3 6. Donation from St. Anthony resident. The City Manager reported that the <br /> 4 City has received a donation from a resident to be used in the construction <br /> 5 of the new City Hall. <br /> 6 7. Update on 3929 Fordham Drive. The Schroeders met with Staff regarding <br /> 7 the site plans for the renovation of their home. There will be no variance <br /> 8 requests. <br /> 9 8. Third Quarter Liquor Operations Profits. The third quarter liquor profits <br /> 10 are down by $15,000. Apache Wells and SAV II are reported to be affected <br /> 11 by the Apache Plaza situation. The Mayor indicated that FirstBank will not <br /> 12 let the City out of its lease for the Wells. The City Manager reported that <br /> 13 the lease for SAV H is up in August, 1996 and that it might be cost effective <br /> 14 to relocate SAV II to the Apache Wells site until that lease is expired or <br /> 15 FirstBank releases the City from that lease. The Mayor requested that the <br /> 16 Finance Director do a cost/benefit analysis, including Dram Shop Act <br /> 17 insurance costs. <br /> 18 9. Ramsey County Maintenance Agreement. Ramsey County informed Staff <br /> 19 via letter that they have agreed to a two-year contract whereby they agree to <br /> 20 provide 5% of the cost of winter road maintenance for the City. <br /> 21 10. Review Letter on Code Violations. The City Manager reviewed an example <br /> 22 of a code violation letter from the City of Minneapolis. He also indicated <br /> 23 that implementing a letter like the one from Minneapolis may require an <br /> 24 ordinance change to enforce any assessments on code violations. <br /> 25 11. MPRS Lawsuit Article. The City Manager reported that 32 cities were <br /> 26 involved in the MPRS lawsuit, including St. Anthony. The Court has <br /> 27 awarded a judgement of nearly $1 million. The City Manager indicated that <br /> 28 there is a chance that St. Anthony's portion will be based on a percentage, <br /> 29 similar to formula that is used to determine the City's annual dues. <br /> 30 XI.
