This was suggested as a project for <br /> 3 the Environmental Quality Committee. Councilmember Enrooth indicated that he <br /> 4 will contact the members of this committee for their thoughts on participating in <br /> 5 this project. <br /> 6 IX. SCHOOL'S REQUEST FOR SPEED CHANGES ON 33RD AVENUE N.E. <br /> 7 The City Manager reported that all residents along 33rd Avenue N.E. were notified <br /> 8 of the proposed changes. He indicated that only two residents attended the <br /> 9 meeting. He also reported that he met with Warren Rolek, School Superintendent, <br /> 10 regarding the cost and the City's proposal to divide the cost in half. The City <br /> 11 Manager reported that he has not yet heard what the School District's decision is on <br /> 12 this cost sharing proposal. <br /> 13 X. ORDINANCE CHANGE ON TEMPORARY SIGNAGE. <br /> 14 The City Manager reported that the Public Works Director is recommending a <br /> 15 change to the temporary signage ordinance because of the time in which violators <br /> 16 have to remove any sign that is in violation of the ordinance. The City Manager <br /> 17 indicated that he would pass the request on to the Planning Commission. <br /> 18 XI. TIF PROJECTS. e <br /> 19 The City Manager provided the City Council with an update on the TIF projects <br /> 20 and expenditures for 1995. <br /> 21 XII. MINNESOTA POLICE RECRUITMENT SYSTEM LAWSUIT. <br /> 22 The City Manager reported that for several reasons, the judge's order will be <br /> 23 difficult to comply with and suggested that there may be an appeal by the cities <br /> 24 because of the difficulty of complying with the terms of the order. Once the <br /> 25 judge's final order will be issued soon and the defendant cities will have 90 days <br /> 26 within which to appeal. <br /> 27 XIII. GOAL SETTING RETREAT. <br /> 28 The date for the retreat is set for March 8 - 9. <br /> 29 XIV. SET DATE FOR 1996 BOARD OF REVIEW. <br /> 30 The date for the 1996 Board of Review will be on April 9, 1996 at 6:30 p.m., before <br /> 31 the regularly scheduled Council Meeting. <br /> 32 XV. PLANNING COMMISSION APPLICANTS. <br /> 33 The two Planning Commission applicants will be interviewed at the end of the <br /> 34 1/9/96 Council Meeting. <br /> 35 XVI. HOUSE KEEPING RESOLUTIONS. • <br /> 36 The City Manager reviewed the resolutions that need action at the next City <br />
