VARIANCE REQUEST FOR NEDEGAARD TOWNHOMES. <br /> Bruce Nedegaard of Nedegaard Custom Homes and builder of The Village <br /> - Commons has applied for two 9-foot variances for Lots 8 and 10. The City <br /> 4 Manager reported that the Public Hearings of the requests will be held at the April <br /> 5 16th Planning Commission. <br /> 6 XIII. REVIEW PROPOSAL FROM TIM MEZZENGA (TRACY PRINTING). <br /> 7 The City Manager reported that Tim Mezzenga, owner of Tracy Printing has <br /> 8 requested that the City sell to him a 25' x 220' portion of City Property so that he <br /> 9 can expand his printing business. He told the Council that the Public Works <br /> 10 Director has recommended that this request be denied because the portion that is <br /> 11 being requested is part of the parcel being used for storage by Public Works. <br /> 12 Without it, they would not be able to store the sand/salt mix needed for City <br /> 13 streets during winter. <br /> 14 XIV. REVIEW OF GAS TANKS COMPARISONS. <br /> 15 The City Manager reviewed the cost comparisons of installing new fuel tanks or <br /> 16 removing them and getting fuel at local service stations. He indicated that either <br /> 17 way, the City will have to pay to have the current tanks removed in order to <br /> 18 comply with federal legislation that requires the removal of fuel tanks that currently <br /> 19 do not meet updated specifications. The City Manager recommended that the City <br /> 20 install new tanks. Staff will budget this cost over the next two years <br /> XV. REPORT REGARDING GOAL SETTING RETREAT. <br /> 2 The City Manager presented Ms. Anna Maravelas' summary of the goals as outlined <br /> 23 at the goal setting retreat. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 XVI. OTHER BUSINESS. <br /> 26 Schnitzer Iron & Metal Site. The City Manager reported that Staff and the City <br /> 27 Attorney had met with MPCA regarding the City's status. Council indicated that <br /> 28 they would like to meet with the MPCA Commissioner. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 New Market Request. New Market grocery store has requested that they be <br /> 31 allowed to have a greenhouse in their parking lot in order to sell bedding plants. <br /> 32 XVII.
