2 c <br /> ..• Section 555 — HAULERS OF GARBAGE, REFUSE, RECYCLABLES <br /> AND YARD WASTE <br /> 555.01 Definitions. For purposes of this Section 555, the following terms have the <br /> following meanings: <br /> Subd. 1. Garbage: Putrescible animal and vegetable waste resulting from the <br /> handling, preparation, cooking or consumption of food. <br /> Subd. 2. Refuse: Ashes, non—recyclable glass, crockery, cans, paper, boxes, rags <br /> and similar non—putrescible materials. <br /> Subd. 3. Recyclables: Materials which may be recycled or reused through <br /> recycling processes, including metal beverage containers, glass, newsprint, <br /> and any other materials designated as recyclables by Council resolution. <br /> Subd. 4. Yard Wastes: Organic materials such as leaves, grass clippings, <br /> branches and other tree material, organic garden waste, or similar materials. <br /> Subd. 5. Residential: Property zoned R-1, R—IA, R-2 or R-3. <br /> Subd. 6. Multiple Dwelling: Any building used for residential purposes <br /> • consisting of more than four residential units with individual kitchen <br /> facilities for each in an R-4 District. <br /> Subd. 7. Commercial Establishment: Any premises where a commercial or <br /> industrial enterprise of any kind is carried on, including restaurants and <br /> clubs, churches, and schools where food is served. <br /> Subd. 8. Hauler: A collector or transporter of garbage, refuse, recyclable <br /> materials, or yard waste. <br /> Subd. 9. Special Pick—up: Any collection of materials other than garbage, <br /> refuse, recyclables or2vs: <br /> =orWedne�sday <br /> ds, furniture, oversized <br /> materials and constr <br /> Subd. 10. Collection each week. <br /> 555.02 Licensing Requirements. <br /> Subd. 1. It is unlawful for any person to haul garbage, refuse, recyclables, or <br /> yard waste without the appropriate license issued by the City and payment of <br /> the license fee set forth in Section 615.06, unless the person is hauling from <br /> • his or her own residence or commercial establishment. <br /> 5-19 <br />
