Page 2 • <br /> 1 VI. CITY HALL/COMMUNITY CENTER UPDATE. <br /> 2 The City Manager responded to questions regarding the curbing and the parking <br /> 3 lot. Councilmember Wagner indicated that he has received sketches for the <br /> 4 scoreboard; that the Kiwanis and the Chamber of Commerce have agreed to provide <br /> 5 funds for its acquisition. The City Manager presented information regarding <br /> 6 vendors submitting bids for the furniture and the telephone/cabling systems. <br /> 7 VII. LIQUOR STORE EXPANSION UPDATE. <br /> 8 The City Manager reported on the new proposed lease for SAV H. He also <br /> 9 presented construction estimate for the new municipal liquor store. <br /> 10 The Liquor Operations Manager reported on the proposed computerized cash <br /> 11 register/inventory control system for the liquor stores. He indicated that he is in <br /> 12 the process of putting out an RFP. <br /> 13 VIII. SCHEDULE FOR 1997 STREET IMPROVEMENTS. <br /> 14 The City Manager presented an updated schedule for 1997 Street Improvement <br /> 15 Projects. He highlighted key dates including a neighborhood meeting, which is <br /> 16 scheduled for October 30. <br /> 17 IX. PROPOSED NOISE CONTROL ORDINANCE. • <br /> 18 The City Manager reported that he talked with Bill Soth, City Attorney, the Police <br /> 19 Chief and the Public Works Director regarding this proposed ordinance. The first <br /> 20 reading is scheduled for October 8th. <br /> 21 X. PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE RELATING TO SHOPPING <br /> 22 CENTER SETBACKS. <br /> 23 The Planning Commission will review the proposed amendment to the zoning <br /> 24 ordinances regarding setback requirements for shopping centers. The City Manager <br /> 25 reported that a public hearing is scheduled before the Planning Commission on <br /> 26 November 19th. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 XI. OTHER BUSINESS. <br /> 29 1. Joint Planning Commission/City Council Worksession. The City Manager <br /> 30 indicated that a joint worksession is being planned with BRW to kick off the <br /> 31 Comprehensive Plan Update. He suggested scheduling the Council <br /> 32 Worksession at 6:00 P.M. with the Joint Worksession following. <br /> 33 2. November 6. 1996 Council Worksession. The City Manager indicated that if <br /> 34 needed, an additional Council Worksession could be scheduled for November <br /> 35 but should be on Wednesday as Tuesday, November 5 is Election Day. <br /> 36 3.
