sNETL15-
NETLink
ink indicated that the automation of St. Anthony's computer technology is similar
to what they have done for the City of Fridley and estimates the project should take
between 80 to 100 hours.
Comparison of the two firms:
1) Nether firm provides hardware, which means consulting is their main
focus.
2) LDSI was recommended by the League of Minnesota Cities.
3) NETLink has worked with several cities that have automated their
technology or are in process of upgrading.
4) The billable charge per hour for LDSI is $100.00 per hour.
NETLinks is $115.00 for 80 - 100 hours. $100.00 per hour for 100
plus hours.
Final thoughts:
My impression is that either one of these firms could provide the consulting services the
City is seeking. LDSI is very competent to provide the services; however, with the
exception of the League their references indicated very little work with city
governments.
• On the other hand, NETLink has provided services to the cities of Fridley, Shoreview,
Brooklyn Park and etc. Selection of this firm could be beneficial because of their
previous city government experience (having already completed this process for other
cities could result in less billable hours).
•
