He indicated that the City Clerk met with Judy <br /> 2 Miller at Chandler Place to look at the room that will be large enough for a <br /> 3 polling location, have accessibility to the parking lot and close to the main <br /> 4 entrance. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 VI. OTHER BUSINESS. <br /> 7 A. Discuss Volunteer Dinner. The City Manager presented the guest list <br /> 8 from the 1997 Volunteer Dinner, where 84 volunteers and Staff were invited. <br /> 9 He indicated that the City Clerk put together a potential list of guests for the <br /> 10 1998 Volunteer Dinner. Councilmember Cavanaugh passed out a handout <br /> 11 discussing his ideas for this year's dinner. He proposed that the dinner be <br /> 12 catered and held at the Community Center; that entertainment could be provided <br /> 13 by the St. Anthony Orchestra, High School Jazz Band, etc. He also reviewed <br /> 14 the list of guests that he proposed to invite. He indicated that the date could be <br /> 15 some time in April, but would come back to the Council with more details at a <br /> 16 future Council meeting. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 B. North Metro Mayors Association. The City Manager advised the <br /> 19 Council that the City has been invited to join the North Metro Mayors <br /> 20 Association. <br /> 21 <br /> • 22 C. Joint Survey with School District. The City Manager reported that the <br /> 23 School District has received a proposal for $8,500 from Decision Resources <br /> 24 with the City paying $3,000 of this cost. He indicated that if the Council had <br /> 25 questions they wanted to ask, they should get back to him with them. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 D. Broadcasting Council Meetings Live. The City Manager advised that <br /> 28 Council meetings will be broadcast live on cable TV beginning on March 10'. <br /> 29 Staff will be putting together a playback schedule so that the meetings can be <br /> 30 replayed for the residents unable to watch the live broadcasting. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 VII. ADJOURNMENT. <br /> 33 The Council worksession meeting adjourned at 10:25 p.m. <br />
