CALL TO ORDER. <br /> 8 Meeting called to order at 7:03 p.m. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 II. ROLL CALL. <br /> 11 Councilmembers Present: Ranallo, Marks, Faust, Cavanaugh, and Thuesen. <br /> 12 Also Present: Michael Morrison, City Manager; Kim Moore-Sykes, <br /> 13 Management Assistant; Dick Johnson, Fire Chief. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 III. UPDATE OF FLOOD RELATED ISSUES. <br /> 16 A. Legislation and FEMA. The City Manager reported that the Legislature <br /> 17 may pass the $30 million flood relief bonding bill. He reported that the <br /> 18 session adjourns on Thursday. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 The City Manager reported that he and Todd Hubmer met with a FEMA <br /> 21 representative and toured the areas that flooded in St. Anthony. He <br /> 22 reported that he feels confident that FEMA will provide funding to St. <br /> 23 Anthony. He indicated that he will know for sure by May 15"the City <br /> 24 will receive $700,000. He said that if the money is awarded, the City <br /> 25 can start on the flood mitigation projects once the contracts have been <br /> 26 signed. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 B. Grant Program. The City Manager reported that City Flood Proofing <br /> 29 Grant program had been adopted at the March 24`' meeting. He said that <br /> 30 there had been several calls of interest and an article regarding the <br /> 31 program will be in the next community newsletter. The City Manager <br /> 32 indicated that WSB had directed a contractor to contact him as the <br /> 33 contractor had worked with them on a similar program in Richfield. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 C. Appraisal of Properties. The City Manager reported that four of the <br /> 36 homeowners involved in the City's buy-out of homes have requested <br /> 37 copies of the appraisers' reports. He said that he will provide a <br /> 38 summary of the appraisals once they have all been received. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Councilmember Faust asked the City Manager also include copies of last <br /> 41 year's market value and this year's market value reports from Hennepin <br /> 42 County with the appraisal reports in a spreadsheet. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 <br /> 45 <br />
