FIRM PROFILE Established by Ms. Ellen Luken in 1994,Luken Architecture,P.A. is dedicated to the personal service and commitment necessary to produce quality design while being responsive to the needs, desires and budgets of its clients. Luken Architecture's philosophy centers on the team approach incorporating such concepts as partnering, workshop process and studio format; is also a strong advocate of environmental responsibility including energy and waste management; is committed to providing the professicnal leadership, guidance and expertise required to meet the design challenges of its clients. Luken Architecture,PA has been registered with the City of Minneapolis' Emerging Small Business program qualifying for both the ESB and WBE categories and currently awaits approval for the new joint City of Minneapolis/Hennepin County Small Business Enterprise (SBE) program. As president, Ms. Luken brings over 18 years of architectural design to each client. Her career development covers a wide range of activities within the architectural profession in both project development and corporate management. Additionally,Ms. Luken has work experience in the areas of mechanical and electrical engineering which has broadened her understanding of the total design . and construction process. Her overall professional experience includes a diverse project base including municipal facilities, office buildings, industrial/warehouse and luxury resort hotels in both the areas of renovation and new construction. Luken Architecture has predominantly specialized in municipal and governmental facilities as well as renovation, a natural progression of Ms. Luken's previous experience. Prior to starting Luken Architecture, Ms. Luken was employed by Winsor/Faricy Architects, Inc. In St. Paul for over ten years. Her career development covered a wide range of activities within the architectural profession both in project development and corporate management. She was a Senior Associate since 1989 and acted as Project Manager/Project Architect/Project Designer with varying " responsibilities on numerous projects. Luken Architecture is an active participant in the architectural community and is a registered firm- , with the American Institute of Architects.
