Richard Krier was retained to <br /> prepare a plan,work with the neighborhood groups <br /> and with the developer Kraus Anderson to redevelop <br /> this elementary school site into senior housing. <br /> Highway 8 Redevelopment Project <br /> Highway 8 in New Brighton,Minnesota is an older <br /> redevelopment project which had been planned in the <br /> 1970s by a competitive firm but was not successfully <br /> implemented. The New Brighton Economlc <br /> Development Commission retained Richard Mer to <br /> redesign the project, recruit a private developer, and <br /> implement the project working with the EDC. Mr. <br /> Krier recruited both a housing developer and <br /> commercial developer and negotiated development <br /> • contracts with them. <br /> Edenvale <br /> This 800 acre planned community in Eden Prairie <br /> includes high, median and low density residential <br /> housing as well as office and industrial parks. <br /> Members of RLK Kuusisto assisted in the general <br /> planning as well as specific office park and <br /> residential portions of the planned community. The <br /> project incorporates trails,parks, a golf course, and <br /> various land uses. <br /> Northwest Property Association <br /> This 2,000 acre planned community encompasses the <br /> area north of Rochester,Minnesota and includes an <br /> expansion area for IBM as well as a number of other <br /> office and commercial interests. The majority of the <br /> area was planned and developed as low density <br /> residential,but the plan and eventual development <br /> also involved high density and medium density <br /> residential as well as a municipal golf course,parks, <br /> trail,and a nature center. XLK Kuusisto personnel <br /> • directed and created the master plan and <br /> accomplished the city approval process. <br />
