1 The City Manager presented proposed changes to the Ordinance Relating to Signs. He <br /> 2 reported that the Planning Commission agreed with the proposed revisions and wanted to add <br /> 3 that signs should be placed from 10 feet from the property line. The City Manager indicated <br /> 4 that the first reading of the proposed changes to this ordinance is scheduled for December Th <br /> 5 Council meeting. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 IX. REVIEW OF FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS. <br /> 8 The City Manager reported that the interview of Planning Commission applicants is scheduled <br /> 9 for the December 16' Council meeting. He also reported that the agenda will also have an <br /> 10 item to discuss the City Manager's performance and salary. He reported that the Planning <br /> 11 Commission's report will be given at the January 12' Council meeting. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 X. DISCUSSION ON GOAL SETTING RETREAT. <br /> 14 The City Manger reported that Barb Arney is available to facilitate the City's goal setting <br /> 15 retreat that is scheduled for January 22 and 23, 1999. He reported that she has again asked for <br /> 16 the opportunity to interview the Council and Department Heads individually prior to the goal <br /> 17 setting retreat, which he has scheduled. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 XI. UPDATE ON CENCO, ST. ANTHONY SHOPPING CENTER, AND APACHE PLAZA. <br /> 20 1. Cenco. The City Manager reported that Cenco is on hold. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 2. St. Anthony Shopping Center. The City Manager reported that Mr. Richard Krier will <br /> 23 have his report to the City Manager in two weeks. He reported that the Shopping <br /> 24 Center has a prospective buyer, who will submit a concept plan in the spring. <br /> @'5 <br /> 26 3. Apache Plaza. The City Manager reported that the developer will come back to him in <br /> 27 early 1999 regarding the proposed plans for the Plaza. He reported that they will be <br /> 28 meeting with Herberger's in December. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 XII. OTHER BUSINESS. <br /> 31 1. E-mail. Frank Koes, 2817 Stinson Boulevard, spoke to request that the Council e-mail <br /> 32 addresses be available so that residents may contact Councilmembers. Mayor Ranallo <br /> 33 explained that e-mail addresses are available to the residents. He commented that there <br /> 34 is a varying degree of experience using e-mail among the Councilmembers and that he <br /> 35 prefers to talk directly in person or over the phone to the residents. He also indicated <br /> 36 that he will check for e-mail messages that are sent to him. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 2. Y2K Status. Councilmember Cavanaugh asked for an update on the City's efforts to <br /> 39 achieve Y2K compliance so that critical services continue to be provided. The <br /> 40 Management Assistant reported that Staff is currently doing an inventory of potentially <br /> 41 non-compliant equipment and vehicles. She reported that in some instances, Staff has <br /> 42 initiated testing of some equipment and vehicles to determine compliance. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 R. Brent Gunsbury, 2701 - 30'h Avenue NE, offered to assist City Staff in determining <br /> 45 and accomplishing Y2K compliance. <br /> 46 <br /> 3 <br />
