When the pump was repaired in 1973, the pump was changed and it <br /> was specified the cheapest pump that could be purchased and now we are experiencing <br /> more repairs . I recommend that we replace the existing steel couplings and bronze <br /> spiders with cast steel couplings. By doing this we will insure better service <br /> of our pump and should be able to cut down on the wearing of parts in the future. <br /> tWe need 21 10'' x 1-11/16'' combination couplings ($221 each -- $4651 ) . We <br /> do have the option to rciace some of the steel coupling this time and the remainder <br /> the next time we pull tiie pump. <br />
