Agreement No. A08280 <br /> • HENNEPIN COUNTYXITY OF ST ANTHONY <br /> LEASE AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made by and between the COUNTY OF HENNEPIN and the <br /> CITY OF ST ANTHONY, both political subdivisions of the State of Minnesota, hereinafter <br /> referred to as the"County" and the "City"respectively. For purposes of this Agreement, the <br /> address of the County is A2300 Government Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55487 and the <br /> address of the City is 3301 Silver Lake Road, St Anthony, Minnesota 55418. <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners in Resolution Number 99-6- <br /> 426 authorized the purchase of election equipment(hereinafter "Election Equipment") for a <br /> countywide optical scan voting system, election hardware and services through the State of <br /> Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 383B.145, Subd. 9 may transfer <br /> property to the City for its use; and <br /> • WHEREAS, the County desires to lease new Election Equipment to the City for use in all <br /> City elections. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual undertakings and agreements <br /> hereinafter set forth, the County and the City agree as follows: <br /> Section 1 <br /> SCOPE OF AGREEMENT <br /> 1.1 The County hereby leases to the City at the cost identified below and subject to the terms <br /> and conditions of this Agreement, and the City hereby agrees to lease from the County <br /> Election Equipment identified as: one (1) Model 100 Optical Scan Precinct Count Unit <br /> (including two (2) PCMIA memory cards, one (1) Model 100 metal ballot box, one (1) <br /> Model 100 hard cover carrying case, and one (1) Model 100 soft cover carry case) for <br /> each precinct contained within the City. The County may additionally lease to the City <br /> and the City may lease from the County one (1) Model 100 Optical Scan Precinct Count <br /> Unit and related items identified above for each backup Optech IIIP Precinct Count Unit <br /> transferred to the County by the City for trade-in value. <br /> • <br /> k <br />
