CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> RESOLUTION 03 - 026 <br /> A RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND <br /> ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted May 28`h, 2002, a report was prepared by <br /> WSB &Associates, Inc. to evaluate the City of St. Anthony's Water Supply and Sanitary <br /> Sewer System Infrastructure, <br /> WHEREAS, the report recommended the: <br /> 1. Replacement of the existing chlorine disinfection system at the water treatment facility. <br /> WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost <br /> effective, and feasible. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony that: <br /> 1) The Council will consider the improvement in accordance with the report at an estimated total cost <br /> of the improvement of$ 1,000,000. <br /> 2) WSB & Associates, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement, and is directed <br /> to prepare plans, specifications and bid documents for making such improvements. <br /> 3) The consulting engineering firm shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in <br /> the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids. The advertisement shall be published for one <br /> item, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be opened on August 14, 2003. <br /> The responsibility for bidders will be considered by the City Council at 7:00 P.M. on August 26, <br /> 2003 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Any bidders whose responsibility is questioned <br /> during consideration of the bid will be given the opportunity to address the Council on the issue of <br /> responsibility.
