• MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: December 2, 2003 <br /> TO: Mayor and Councilmembers <br /> FROM: Michael Mornson,City Manager <br /> SUBJECT: UNION AND NON-UNION SETTLEMENTS <br /> I have come to agreements with two bargaining units for 2004 and 2005.The two bargaining units are <br /> Fire and Public Works and represent 16 full time employees. Due to scheduling difficulties,I have not <br /> had an opportunity to negotiate with the Police.That contract will be negotiated in 2004. <br /> A summary of the agreements is as follows: <br /> Salary 2004 1.5% <br /> 2005 2.0% <br /> Health insurance-family 2004 $30.00 <br /> 2005 $30.00 <br /> Cap on personnel leave for new hires after January 1, 2004 is 1,200 hours. <br /> Comp time will be paid prior to December 31, 2003 for Fire union and all non-union employees. <br /> No comp time will be allowed, except as specified in the Public Works contract on a limited basis or the <br /> time is used in the year it is earned. <br /> The total number of non-union employees is 22. The resolution presented provides the same salary and <br /> benefit package to all full time non-union employees for 2004 and 2005. <br /> Non-Union Union <br /> Finance/Administration 8 0 <br /> Police 7 15 (not covered by Resolution <br /> 03-101) <br /> Fire 2 5 <br /> Public Works 2 11 <br /> Liquor 3 0 <br /> 22 16 <br /> Total Number of Employees covered by Resolution 03-101 =38 <br /> Total Number of Employees=53 <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> • Recommend Council Approve resolution 03-101. <br />
