The adoption of this <br /> resolution is necessary so the special assessments, taxes, etc. can be split <br /> according to the new plat. <br /> ACTION: Recommend approval. <br /> b. Resolution 74-030 Resolution regarding Human Relations Committee. The <br /> attached resolution incorporates the changes made by the adoption of Res. <br /> • 71-013 and the change regarding age that the council requested now and <br /> repeals the two earlier resolutions to provide us with one comprehensive <br /> resolution. The adoption of this resolution should cut confusion in the <br /> future and give us a more readable document to send out to new HRC members. <br /> Resolution 71-013 and Resolution 68-040 are enclosed for your information. <br /> ACTION: Recommend approval. <br /> 7. Old Business <br /> a. Lamppa Construction re: Water Improvement Project 1974-1. Attached <br /> please find a letter from Lamppa regarding Ice's letter regarding liquidated <br /> damages. The project is now in and operating satisfactorily and we are in the <br /> process of taking compaction tests. Provided the tests are satisfactory I <br /> would recommend we deduct the cost of the landscaping -pay Lamppa off-final <br /> the project out and do the sodding ourselves next spring. <br /> ACTION: Council <br /> b. Discussion of Newsletter, newspaper, information boards, etc. Councilman <br /> Haik requested that this item be on the agenda because of comments, complaints, <br /> etc. she has heard regarding our Newsletter, notice of meetings, legal <br /> newspaper, etc. <br /> ACTION: Council <br /> 8. New Business <br /> • 9. Communications/Petitions <br /> a. Post Office regarding parking. I have been contacted by Mr. Johnson of <br /> the Columbia Heights Post Office requesting that we prohibit parking in <br /> certain areas along Foss Road and Macalaster Drive in front of the apartment <br /> buildings so they can park to make deliveries. <br />
