The City has been unable to collect on <br /> these checks and therefore we should write them off our books. <br /> Note that check cashing income far exceeded the check writing <br /> loss in 1976. <br /> ACTION: Declare the checks uncollectable. <br /> B. 1978 Budget hearings. I have 'met with all the Department Heads <br /> and should be prepared to present the proposed budget by about <br /> September 6th. I suggest scheduling two to four meetings to <br /> review it. <br /> • ACTION: Schedule review dates. <br /> 9. Communications/Petitions <br /> A. Church of St. Charles request for a beer license with the fee <br /> waived. The request is consistent with the ordinance. <br /> ACTION: Council. <br /> B. North Memorial Medical Center letter regarding nursing patient <br /> load. <br /> ACTION: Information, file. <br /> C. The School Board wishes to set up a meeting to discuss the <br /> future of the Parkview/City Hall building as soon as possible. <br /> They tabled action on the proposed Senior Center until the <br /> question is discussed. <br /> ACTION: Select about three alternative dates between August <br /> 29th and September 9th. <br /> D. Local No. 49 ground-breaking ceremony 11: 30 - 2 :00 P.M. , Thursday <br /> August 25th.
