• Page 3 <br /> Council Minutes <br /> March 9, 1965 <br /> Wm. Conroy of 3120 Edward Street appeared and was heard opposing fluoridation <br /> on the following basis: <br /> 1 . Precedent of dosing the public on a non-communicable disease basis. <br /> 2. Uncertainty of medical effects as noted in Sweden and Denmark. <br /> 3. More economical to dose on an individual basis only those that fluoride <br /> will help. <br /> Mr. Conroy requested that the question be put on a referendum due to the lack of <br /> publication that$the decision was being made. <br /> Voting on the resolution: <br /> Aye: Bailey, Dougherty, Erickson, McNulty, Sorenson <br /> Nay: None <br /> The motion carried unanimously. <br /> 9. VERIFIED CLAIMS <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Bailey seconded by Councilman Sorenson it was moved <br /> to authorize verified claims and approve payment except claim No. 1448 dated <br /> March 5, 1965 to William Ferguson. <br /> The motion carried unanimously. <br /> Upon order of the Mayor the Manager was instructed to review Claim # <br /> and report back to the Council. <br /> 10. CONTRACT PAYMENTS <br /> None <br /> 11. FINAL PAYMENTS <br /> None <br /> 12, ADJOURNMENT <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Bailey seconded by Councilman Sorenson it was moved <br /> to adjourn. <br /> The motion carried unanimously. <br />
