ti <br /> • -3- <br /> The Mayor acknowledged a letter of request by Mr. Wm. J. Conroy for the use <br /> of the Village Hall for the showing of a film "Support Your Local Police," <br /> and a lecture by Mrs. Beverly Jacobsen, Chairwoman. After discussion in <br /> which Councilman Bailey indicated that he felt that no donations should be <br /> solicited in conjunction with the film and lecture, Mayor O'Connor moved and <br /> seconded by Councilman Springer that the use of the Village Hall be approved <br /> for the showing of the aforementioned film and lecture providing that no <br /> donations be solicited. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Mr. Charles Cowan, Minneapolis Gas Company, was recognized by the chair and <br /> inquired as to the status of the proposed excavation ordinance. He was <br /> informed that the final draft was not ready for this meeting, but that it <br /> would be presented for adoption at the meeting of March 28, 1967. Mr. Cowan <br /> expressed the opinion that ke felt the Ordinance was good for the community. <br /> The meeting was recessed at 9:30 and reconvened at 9:40. All present who <br /> answered meeting roll call. <br /> The proposed improvements for 1967 were discussed at length by DeWayne Olson, <br /> Village engineer. After discussion by the Council, Councilman Sorenson <br /> introduced Resolution No. 67-022 and moved that it be adopted. <br /> • RESOLUTION N0, 67-022 <br /> RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT <br /> ON 1967 IMPROVEMENTS <br /> The resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Bailey. <br /> Voting on the resolution: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson <br /> Nay: None <br /> Absent not voting: Dougherty <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson and seconded by Councilman Springer <br /> it was moved that the engineers statement for engineering services in the <br /> amount of $666.12 be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Upon motion by Mayor O'Connor seconded by Councilman Sorenson it was moved <br /> that the architects statement for services for the months of December, Janu- <br /> ary, and February in the amount of $593.75 be approved. <br /> • Motion Carried. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Bailey it was moved <br /> that the licenses be approved as submitted. <br />
