ti • -3- The Mayor acknowledged a letter of request by Mr. Wm. J. Conroy for the use of the Village Hall for the showing of a film "Support Your Local Police," and a lecture by Mrs. Beverly Jacobsen, Chairwoman. After discussion in which Councilman Bailey indicated that he felt that no donations should be solicited in conjunction with the film and lecture, Mayor O'Connor moved and seconded by Councilman Springer that the use of the Village Hall be approved for the showing of the aforementioned film and lecture providing that no donations be solicited. Motion Carried. Mr. Charles Cowan, Minneapolis Gas Company, was recognized by the chair and inquired as to the status of the proposed excavation ordinance. He was informed that the final draft was not ready for this meeting, but that it would be presented for adoption at the meeting of March 28, 1967. Mr. Cowan expressed the opinion that ke felt the Ordinance was good for the community. The meeting was recessed at 9:30 and reconvened at 9:40. All present who answered meeting roll call. The proposed improvements for 1967 were discussed at length by DeWayne Olson, Village engineer. After discussion by the Council, Councilman Sorenson introduced Resolution No. 67-022 and moved that it be adopted. • RESOLUTION N0, 67-022 RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT ON 1967 IMPROVEMENTS The resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Bailey. Voting on the resolution: Aye: O'Connor, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson Nay: None Absent not voting: Dougherty Resolution declared adopted. Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson and seconded by Councilman Springer it was moved that the engineers statement for engineering services in the amount of $666.12 be approved. Motion Carried. Upon motion by Mayor O'Connor seconded by Councilman Sorenson it was moved that the architects statement for services for the months of December, Janu- ary, and February in the amount of $593.75 be approved. • Motion Carried. Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Bailey it was moved that the licenses be approved as submitted.
