• -2- <br /> The <br /> 2-The matter of the proposed Excavation Ordinance and the amendments to the <br /> Code and Fee Schedule of the Electric Code was tabled. <br /> Amendments to the Sign Ordinance were discussed at length. Councilman Sorenson <br /> moved and seconded by Councilman Springer that the discussion of amendments <br /> to the Sign Ordinance be tabled to the meeting of March 28, 1967. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Petitions for the construction of sidewalks on Silver Lak Road from 37th <br /> Avenue N.E. to St. Anthony Boulevard were presented by Mr. Ron Ekstrom. After <br /> commendation of the work and manner of presentation of the proposal by Mr. <br /> Ekstrom was expressed by the Council , Councilman Sorenson introduced Resol- <br /> ution #67-021 and moved that it be adopted. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 67-021 <br /> RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT ON <br /> 1967 IMPROVEMENTS <br /> The resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Springer. <br /> Is <br /> Voting on the resolution: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson <br /> Nay: None <br /> Absent not voting: Dougherty <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> Mayor O'Connor expressed the opinion that the Village Council should yearly <br /> recognize the work of Village residents who have given much of their time <br /> and energy for the welfare of the community. Mr. Henry Zeug was cited as <br /> an example of an individual that has dedicated many years to the boy scouts <br /> of the Village. The Village Manager was instructed to prepare a formal <br /> resolution for such recognition. <br /> Mr. Bureau was recognized and presented a preliminary plat for the division <br /> of the Anderson Office Building Property. Mr. Bureau stated that the property <br /> as now proposed would be divided and the proposed Goodyear building alligned <br /> with the office building. After considerable discussion, in the absence of <br /> the report of the Fire department on the building site proposal , the Manager <br /> was directed to present a copy of Chief Mohn's findings at the meeting of <br /> March 28, 1967. <br /> Mr. Joseph Donlin of the Apache Corporation, was present and the Council <br /> informed him of the desire of the Council to have the Apache Corporation <br /> • present a plat of the area with complete development plans. Mr. Donlin inquire• <br /> ed of the paving of Stinson Boulevard and was informed that it was the intent- <br /> ion of the Village to include the paving of this area in the 1967 Improvements. <br /> Mayor O'Connor suggested to Mr. Bureau, representing the Goodyear Company, <br /> that he should review the sign proposals for the building so that there would <br /> be no conflict with the sign ordinance. <br />
