• -2- <br /> The <br /> 2-The Village Council noted the Planning Board's hearing June 20„1967 of a <br /> request for rezoning to R2 of the Apache Center buffer strip by Malcolm Glad, <br /> builder. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Mayor O'Connor it was moved <br /> that the building addition to Medtronics Inc. for the storage combustible <br /> chemicals be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Springer and seconded by Mayor O'Connor it was move(', <br /> that the request of Sheldon Mortenson for a variance of 27,000 sq. ft. of <br /> land area, three stories in height, with stucco panels between windows for <br /> the construction of 3 - 18 unit apartments per plan with the site plan bonding <br /> requirements of Ordinance 66G., being a condition of the approval . <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Ordinance #66G was introduced for the second reading. After discussion of <br /> the inclusion of R1 and R2 in the zoning classifications, Councilman Springer <br /> moved and seconded by Councilman Sorenson that the Ordinance 66G be approved <br /> at second reading. <br /> • Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Springer, Bailey, Sorenson <br /> Nay: O'Connor <br /> Absent not voting: Dougherty <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Representative of the Boosters, Mr. Jasinski and Weinmeyer were heard regardin! <br /> the revamping of Diamond No. 1 to allow for American Legion Baseball. After <br /> discussion, Mayor O'Connor moved that the diamond be adjusted to allow for <br /> American Legion Baseball play as recommended by the St. Anthony Park and <br /> Recreation Board on a temporary basis. <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> After further discussion, Councilman Bail4py moved and seconded by Councilman <br /> Sorenson that the field not be altered from the present design. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Springer, Bailey, Sorenson <br /> Nay: O'Connor <br /> Absent not voting: Dougherty <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Councilman Springer moved and seconded by Councilman Sorenson that a meeting <br /> be arranged with the St. Anthony School Board, Boosters Club and other inter- <br /> ested organizations. <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
