Village limits and this was timed with the improvement of Highway #8. The <br /> matter of street lighting was deleted upon the requests of the residents of <br /> St. Anthony Boulevard. There being no further discussion, Mayor O'Connor moved <br /> and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that the hearing on the improvement of <br /> St. Anthony Boulevard from Stinson Boulevard to Silver Lake Road be continued <br /> to June 27, 1967 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. and that the Village engineer prepare <br /> cost estimates for an asphalt overlay comperable to that improvement proposed <br /> for St. !Anthony Boulevard, East of Silver Lake Road. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Item #8 Street Improvement, St. Anthony Boulevard, Silver Lake Road to the <br /> East Village limits was next opened for discussion. The Village engineer <br /> explained the improvement as proposed and submitted the following cost estim- <br /> ates: <br /> Total Cost - $17,835.00 <br /> Assessable frontage 7,962 ' <br /> Estimated cost one side $4.48 per front foot <br /> only (Mpls. Park Bd. owner one side) <br /> Mr. Bectel, Sunset Memorial Cemetery, asked if the Cemetery Association would <br /> be assessed the total cost. The Mayor explained that the Minneapolis Park <br /> • Board had not agreed to participate in the project and were thus not assessable <br /> per state statute.
