Mrs. William Weiss, 2820 Silver Lake Road, said that her children are <br /> trained to keep off of Silver Lake Road and that a sidewalk would encourage <br /> them to play along the R/W. Mr. Jim Datta, 2829 Silver Lake Road, stated <br /> that the steep hill would be a hazard if walks were installed. Jacqueline <br /> Shick questioned some of Mr. Ekstrom's pedestrian count. Mr. Ekstrom stated <br /> that his figures were obtained from Mr. Elias, High School Principal, and ind- <br /> icated 50% of students did walk on Silver Lake Road at some time. There being <br /> no further questions,Mayor O'Connor declared this portion of the hearing closed. <br /> Councilman Dougherty indicated that he felt a study should be made as to the <br /> economics and feasibility of sidewalks and further stated that surveys may <br /> show that there is a greater need in other areas.
