Chief Ed Brown received the award on behalf of <br /> • the Village and expressed his appreciation of the departments efforts to <br /> promote pedestl*ian safety within St. Anthony Village. Mayor Pro tem Dougherty <br /> expressed the Council 's appreciatton of the award and congratulated Chief <br /> Brown and his department for their efforts on behalf of pedestrian safety. <br /> Village Attorney, Raymond Haik, appraised the Council of the proceedings at the <br /> recent hearing of St. Anthony Village v Lowry Grove Trailer Park Inc. <br /> Mr. Haik also informed the Council that the case St. Anthony Village v <br /> Pemtom Inc. had been dismissed and that the matter of assessments concerning <br /> Diamond Eight Apartments had been resolved with Mr. Richard Fudali, attorney. <br /> Mr. Miedtke, Planning Board member, reported his conversation with Chairman <br /> Howtiz regarding a request for variance by Mr . Richard Carlson. After discuss- <br /> ion, Councilman Sorenson moved and seconded by Councilman Springer that the <br /> request of Mr. Richard Carlson, 3509 Maplewood Drive, for a side yard variance <br /> be approved subject to the approval of the Planning Board. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The Village Manager was directed to request of Mr. G. A. Black, Crest Aire, <br /> Minneapolis, test results of similar installations and a detail of the operat- <br /> ional procedures used in the proposed odor control equipment. <br /> Upon Motion by Councilman Springer, seconded by Councilman Bailey it was <br /> proved that the Village Manager be authorized to participate with the Hennepin <br /> County Auditor regarding computerization of Village assessments and making <br /> corrections of such errors as might be noted to the nearest $0.05. <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
