-3- The 3-The matter of the sloping of property abutting the South side of the holding pond at Highcrest Road was discussed. A slope of 3 to 1 was recommended by the Park Board. The sodding of the slope by the property developer was also discussed. Mr. Bailey was to attend the March 19th Planning Board meeting, to present the Park Board's recommendation. The Board next recommended the hiring of David Bennett, architect, for the preliminary design of the Central Park Shelter. Motion By Councilman Crouse and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that the Mayor and Village Manager be authorized to enter into contract on behalf of the Village with Mr. David Bennett, for the preliminary design of the proposed Central Park Shelter at a cost of not to exceed $500.00. Motion Carried. Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Springer that the Village Manager be authorized to contract with the State Board of Electricity for electrical inspection service. Motion Carried. After discussion, motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that the final payment to Northern Contracting Company in the amount of $4,227.01 for the construction of the Central Park Wading Pool be approved. Motion Carried. DeWayne Olson reported that flow checks have been made of sewage discharged into the Minneapolis System and that as soon as the information was compiled, a meeting would be arranged with Mr. Ridge, sewage engineer, Minneapolis, to discuss the new sewer contract. Councilman Springer introduced Resolution No. 68-016 and moved that it be adopted. RESOLUTION NO. 68-016 RESOLUTION REVOKING COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAYS The resolution was duly seconded by Mayor O'Connor, Voting on the resolution: Aye: O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Crouse Nay: None Absent not voting: Emond Resolution declared adopted.
