-2- <br /> A <br /> 2-A planting plan submitted by Cedar Properties for a 32 unit apartment on <br /> Highcrest Road was returned to the Planning Board as being unsatisfactory in <br /> detail. <br /> No objection was raised by Council concerning the plans for a four stall garacc <br /> on the former N.S .P. transformer station property at Roosevelt Court and 33rd <br /> Avenue N.E. <br /> Councilman Dougherty moved and seconded by Councilman Emond that the modif- <br /> ication of the N.U. corner of the Red Owl building, which provides for the <br /> bricking up of the glass area, be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> After discussion, motion by Mayor O'Connor and seconded by Councilman Dougherty <br /> that the request by Red Owl Inc. for the cutting of a new door operning on <br /> the East side of the building be denied. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> A preliminary plat submitted by Mr. Dunphy, Happy's Potato Chip Company, was <br /> discussed. The outlot ownerships questioned by the Planning Board was ex- <br /> plained. Councilman Dougherty stated that an exchange of property with Mr. <br /> Henkel should be explored. The preliminary plat was ordered returned to the <br /> Planning Board for review. The compliance by Mr. Dunphy of the Council 's <br /> directive to locate the deodorizing equipment on the building plan was brought <br /> to the Council 's attention. Councilman Dougherty stated that he felt that <br /> both the preliminary plat and the building plan should be returned to the <br /> Planning Board. The building plan was ordered returned to the Planning Board. <br /> Councilman Dougherty moved and seconded by Councilman Springer that the <br /> request for division of the W. 100 ft. of south 1/2 of lot 1 , Block 7, Clark <br /> and Kings Garden Tract and the attachment to the W. 100 ft. of the N. 1/2 of <br /> lot 1, Block 7, Clark and Kings Garden Tract be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> /After discussion, Mayor O' Connor moved and seconded by Councilman Springer <br /> that the request for a sign permit by the Industrial Credit Company, Apache <br /> Plaza, be approved as submitted. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye : OiConnor, Emond, Springer <br /> Nay: Dougherty <br /> Absent not voting : Crouse <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The Park Board 's minutes of the March 12, 1968, meeting were received and <br /> a letter by a Mr. Eberlein objecting to the proposed location of the Central <br /> Park Shelter building was read by the Mayor and ordered filed. <br />
