„ t <br /> -4- <br /> Councilman Springer introduced Resolution No. 68-025 and moved that it be <br /> adopted. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 68-025 <br /> A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A <br /> SECOND METROPOLITAN AIRPORT. <br /> The Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Crouse. <br /> Voting on the adoption of the resolution: <br /> Aye: Crouse, Emond, Springer <br /> Nay: O'Connor <br /> Absent not voting: Dougherty <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> The establishment of County Ditch R/W was discussed relative to a letter <br /> from Mr. Tom Quale, Ramsey County Assistant Attroney. <br /> It was pointed out that Vadnais Construction Company had installed temporary <br /> signs without a permit. <br /> The Council directed minutes of Council meetings be sent to Senator Nyquist <br /> • and Representative Meyers. <br /> May 14, 1968, 7:00 P.M. was set as the date for a joint Council-Police <br /> discussion. <br /> The Village Manager was directed to contact New Brighton regarding their <br /> intention to provide a grade crossing on Foss Road. <br /> The Council set July 9, 1968, at 8:00 P.M. as the meeting time for the <br /> Board of Review. <br /> A request to conduct street corner flower sales was denied. <br /> The Council gave voice approval to a wage proposal of $3.17 per hr. for <br /> a 45 hour week for bartenders and $2.60 per hour for a 40 hour week for liquor <br /> store clerks. <br /> Notion by Mayor O'Connor and seconded by Councilman Emond that the Engineers <br /> Certificate in the amount of $1,243.80 for engineering services in the design <br /> of the Hi-Service pump installation be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Springer and seconded by Councilman Emond that the <br /> Engineers Certificate in the amount of $123.75 for engineering services <br /> for the repair of Well #5 be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
