VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> May 28, 1968 <br /> The regular meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 8°00 P.M. <br /> The following were present at roll call : <br /> O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Emond, Crouse <br /> Absents None <br /> Also presents Raymond Haik, Village Attorney <br /> John Printon, Village Manager <br /> It was directed that the minutes of May 2, 1968, be amended, as concerns <br /> property at 3609 Silver Lake Road, to� delete that portion of the hearing <br /> as pertains to the possible installation of catch basins at the S.E. corner <br /> of Silver Lake Road and 37th Avenue N.E. It was suggested that the name of <br /> Mr. Richards, Village Attorney, be added to those present at the meeting. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that the <br /> minutes of the special meeting of May 2, 1968, be approved as amended. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> It was directed that the minutes of May 14, 1968, be amended, and the word <br /> "approximately" be inserted before the numerals "3 'x5l" as refers to the <br /> proposed Park identification signs suggested by the St. Anthony J. C.'s. <br /> Motion by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Councilman Springer that the <br /> minutes of the regular meeting of May 14, 1968, be approved as amended. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Mr. Bailey, Park Board Chairman, and members of the Park Board were present <br /> to discuss the proposed Park shelter with the Village Council and architect, <br /> David Bennett. Mr. Bennett stated that he had reviewed the costs and deter- <br /> mined that the proposed structure would cost 50% over the budget estimate. <br /> He named reasons for the higher cost as panel cost, heavy type of construction, <br /> grading costs due to site selection and timing of bid letting. He also <br /> stated that the building was too small to make an accurate sq. ft. estimate. <br /> After further discussion, motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by <br /> Councilman Dougherty that the matter be tabled to later in the meeting. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Mr.,Curt Englund presented the Planning Board minutes of May 21, 1968. <br /> Mayor O'Connor moved and seconded by Councilman Springer that the request <br /> for variance of 10' in width of a corner lot plus an 8' side yard variance <br /> at 3542 Coolidge St. N .E. be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> I <br />
