s -2- Mr. 2-Mr. Dan Burrill, St. Anthony State Bank, appeared regarding a teller window sign proposed to be located on the East side of the bank building. Mr. Burrill was informed by the Council that the request did not conform to the sign ordinance. He asked the Council to consider broadening the controls of the Sign Ordinance. (after further discussion, Councilman Springer moved and sec- onded by Councilman Dougherty that the request for a variance to the Sign Ordinance as requested by the St. Anthony State Bank be denied. Voting on the motion: Aye : Springer, Dougherty, Emond Nay: O'Connor, Crouse Motion Carried. After discussion, Councilman Crouse moved and seonced by Councilman Dougherty that a request for a 7' side yard variance at 3100 Rankin Road be approved. Motion Carried. Councilman Crouse moved and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that the request by Standard Oil Company to add a 12 ' x 28' storage room to the rear of the station at 27th and Kenzie Terrace be approved. Voting on the motion: Aye: O' Connor, Springer, Crouse, Emond Nay: Dougherty Motion Carried. Mr. Kenneth Benson presented plans for the construction of a 14,480 sq. ft. building proposed by the Hammond Company. He described the traffic pattern as entering on County Road C and exiting on Anthony Lane. Motion by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Councilman Crouse that final approval be given to the 'Jammond building proposal as presented by Mr. Kenneth Benson subject to approval of the building inspector and engineer and subject to an in and out sign being erected at driveway locations, Motion Carried. The bond for the planting plan for the Hammond Building was set at $1000.00. The Cedar Properties planting plan was next considered. after discussion, the matter was tabled because of lack of designation of driveway location. Mayor O'Connor moved and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that preliminary approval be given to the proposed Walbon Kiat. Motion Carried. • The proposed Lobo Addition plat was next considered. After discussion, Councilman Dougherty moved and seconded by Councilman Crouse that the prelim- inary plat of the Lobo Addition be approved. Motion Carried.
