s <br /> -2- <br /> Mr. <br /> 2-Mr. Dan Burrill, St. Anthony State Bank, appeared regarding a teller window <br /> sign proposed to be located on the East side of the bank building. Mr. Burrill <br /> was informed by the Council that the request did not conform to the sign <br /> ordinance. He asked the Council to consider broadening the controls of the <br /> Sign Ordinance. (after further discussion, Councilman Springer moved and sec- <br /> onded by Councilman Dougherty that the request for a variance to the Sign <br /> Ordinance as requested by the St. Anthony State Bank be denied. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye : Springer, Dougherty, Emond <br /> Nay: O'Connor, Crouse <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> After discussion, Councilman Crouse moved and seonced by Councilman Dougherty <br /> that a request for a 7' side yard variance at 3100 Rankin Road be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Councilman Crouse moved and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that the request by <br /> Standard Oil Company to add a 12 ' x 28' storage room to the rear of the <br /> station at 27th and Kenzie Terrace be approved. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: O' Connor, Springer, Crouse, Emond <br /> Nay: Dougherty <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Mr. Kenneth Benson presented plans for the construction of a 14,480 sq. ft. <br /> building proposed by the Hammond Company. He described the traffic pattern <br /> as entering on County Road C and exiting on Anthony Lane. <br /> Motion by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Councilman Crouse that final <br /> approval be given to the 'Jammond building proposal as presented by Mr. Kenneth <br /> Benson subject to approval of the building inspector and engineer and subject <br /> to an in and out sign being erected at driveway locations, <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The bond for the planting plan for the Hammond Building was set at $1000.00. <br /> The Cedar Properties planting plan was next considered. after discussion, <br /> the matter was tabled because of lack of designation of driveway location. <br /> Mayor O'Connor moved and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that preliminary <br /> approval be given to the proposed Walbon Kiat. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> • The proposed Lobo Addition plat was next considered. After discussion, <br /> Councilman Dougherty moved and seconded by Councilman Crouse that the prelim- <br /> inary plat of the Lobo Addition be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
