VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY COUNCIL MINUTES January 28, 1969 The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 8:00 o'clock P. M. The following were present at roll call : O'Connor, Emond, Levandowski, Dougherty. Absent: Crouse. Also Present : Dave Doty, Village attorney John Printon, Village Manager Motion by Councilman Emond and seconded by Councilman Levandowski that the minutes of the regular meeting of January 14, 1969 be approved as submitted. Motion carried. Councilman Levandowski raised an objection to the special meeting of January 15, 1969 stating that in his opinion the meeting was invalid as per M.S.A. 412.192. No action was taken on the approval of the minutes of the special meeting of January 15, 1969, and Mr. Dave Doty, Village attorney, was requested to review the law and obtain an attorney generals opinion on the matter. • The following appointments to the Human Relations Committee were submitted by Counci 1 members : Councilman Emond - Mrs. Tom Dougherty, Mrs. Edwina Wilk Councilman Dougherty - Dr. Berglund, John Remes Councilman Levandowski - Messrs.Beutel and Kachel Mayor O'Connor - Messrs. McDonald and Heuer Councilman Crouse - Messrs. Liken and O'Keefe Motion by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Councilman Emond that Or. Berglund be appointed as Chairman of the Human Relations Committee. Voting on the motion: Aye: Emond, Dougherty. Nay: O'Connor, Levandowski. Motion not carried. Motion by Councilman Levandowski and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that Mr. Phillip Reutel be appointed as Chairman of the Human Relations Committee. Voting on the motion: Aye: O' Connor, Levandowski. Nay: Emond, Dougherty. Motion not carried. Further action on the appointment of a Chairman of the Human Relations Committee was tabled to next meeting.
