M., January 23, 1969, follows : <br /> John Deere 1020 RU with trade $2,250.00 <br /> without trade 2,750.00 <br /> International Harvester with trade 3,244.00 <br /> 2444 without trade 3,374.00 <br /> Motion by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Mayor O' Connor that the bid of John <br /> Deere Company for the supplying of one tractor model 1020 RU with a net cost, <br /> including trade in, of $2,250.00. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that the purchase of <br /> one dump truck at a County of Hennepin bid price of $7,L<20.48 and per joint <br /> purchase agreement, be approved as submitted by Iten Chevrolet Company. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mayor O 'Connor read the proposed amendment to the Burning Ordinance for the third <br /> time. <br /> • Motion by Councilman Levandowski and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that the <br /> proposed amendment to the Burning Ordinance be approved on third reading. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Howitz reviewed a meeting with City of Minneapolis officials on the zoning of <br /> property on Lowry ""venue H. E. and Kenzie Terrace N. E. He indicated Minneapolis <br /> officials were in favor of a multiple zoning of the property. They also indicated <br /> that Lowry Avenue should be widened by St. Anthony to a full 60' width street. <br /> Officials indicated that the City of Minneapolis takes a policy position when they <br /> consider zoning property that may be slow to develop, and this policy is made <br /> known to the public. They indicated that the area in their opinion should be a <br /> one classification development. <br /> The Council recessed at 9:45 and recessed at 10:05. All present who answered <br /> opening roil call . <br /> The Village Manager was directed to apply for certain tax forfeit property deter- <br /> mined to be a part of a public street. <br /> A statement from Petroleum Division State Tax Department was forwarded to the <br /> Village attorney for review. <br /> A representative of the Macey Sign Company appeared regarding a pylon sign for <br /> Mr. Hobo drivein. He stated that his request was for a 64 sq. ft. sign, with a <br /> height of 25' to the top. This would be 2 ' shorter than old sign. Motion by <br /> • Councilman Levandoviski and seconded by Mayor O 'Connor that the pylon sign proposal <br /> as submitted by i•lr. Hobo drivein be approved, providing the sign is located in <br /> approximately the same position as the former !-.'inn Drive Inn sign. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Levandowski , O'Connor. <br />
