Motion by Councilman Emond and seconded by Councilman Crouse that the revised preliminary plat of John Wakiriak be approved subject to the provision of a 5' utility easement at the rear of each platted lot per Planning Board recommend- ation. Motion carried. The Village Council received the communication that Mr. Lou Howitz tendered his resignation as chairman of the Planning Board as he was moving out of the state. The Council expressed its deep appreciation for the many years that Mr. Howitz has served as a member of the Planning Board and directed that an appropriate placque be forwarded to Mr. Howitz. Mr. O'Keefe of the Human Rights Commission presented a report to the Village Council res Minority Group Studies. Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that the report be referred to the-School Board for review and recommendation. Motion carried. Councilman Levandowski introduced Resolution No. 69-027 and moved its adoption. RESOLUTION NO. 69-027A • RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CUL DE SAC AT THE EAST END OF SILVER LAKE COURT The resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Crouse. Voting on the resolution: Ayes O'Connor, Crouse, Emond, Levandowski, Dougherty. Nays None Resolution declared adopted. The Council discussed several proposed ordinance amendments at length, Councilman Emond moved and seconded by Councilman Crouse that Ordinance No. 1969-6 be approved at first reading. ORDINANCE 1969-6 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO BURNING OF ORGANIC MATERIALS IN COMMERCIAL AND LIGHT INDUSTRIAL USE DISTRICTS, AMENDING SECTION 700.01 OF THE 1968 CODE OF ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ORDINANCE 1969-1. Motion carried. Councilman Crouse moved and seconded by Councilman Levandowski that Ordinance 1969-7 be approved at first reading.
