Y�^ <br /> • -3- <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Levandowski that we <br /> continue the discussion on Water Main Improvement 1953-1 and possible <br /> rescinding the action of the December 23, 1969, Council meeting until the Feb- <br /> ruary 25th meeting so that the Village Council can have further time to review it. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Levandowski and seconded by Councilman Kukielka that two <br /> hour parking be restricted during the hours of 8:00 o'clock A.M. to 6:00 o'clock <br /> P.M. on both the North and South side of 27th Avenue N.E., the area from the <br /> West Johnson property line to Wilson Street N.E. on the South side and the West <br /> alley line to Wilson Street N.E. on the North side. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Emond to approve the first <br /> reading of the 1970-1 Rodent Ordinance relating to rat control and to include the <br /> Village Health Inspector as the enforcing officer. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Council deferred action on membership in the Metropolitan League of Municipalities <br /> until the February 25th meeting. <br /> • Motion by the Chair and seconded by Councilman Emond that the Village Manager <br /> prepare certificates of commendation to Officers Schwalbach, Engstrom and Hawk- <br /> inson as outlined in the letters from the Public Safety Director. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Levandowski to amend the <br /> motion that appropriate certificates of merit be awarded to the aforementioned <br /> officers at the next dinner conference. <br /> Voting on the amendment : <br /> Aye: Miedtke, Crouse, Levandowski, Kukielka <br /> Nay: Emond <br /> Amendment carried. <br /> Voting on the motion°as amended: <br /> Aye: Miedtke, Crouse, Levandowski, Kukielka <br /> Nay: Emond <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Council directed the Village Manager to comply with the request of the <br /> Hennepin County Public Works Department regarding the 1971 Improvements <br /> affecting county highways. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Levandowski to approve <br /> the appointment of Henry Feikema as Prosecuting Attorney as of February 4, 1970. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br />
