r <br /> -2- <br /> Mayor Miedtke then opened the meeting to discussion. <br /> Bill Fellows of 3408 Maplewood Drive opposed the possibility of the Village <br /> placing another assessment on them if it did not concern their property. <br /> Louie Chiodo of 3001 Silver Lake Road, who recently bought property in the <br /> Village with the assessments paid in full, felt he should not have to pay any <br /> more assessments. <br /> John Andrychowicz of 2809 Coolidge Street N.E. felt, that being that he had paid <br /> up his assessments in full, that the requirements of the bond issue of 1963 be <br /> carried out on the basis of general levy. <br /> Jack Zoia of 3413 Maplewood Drive opposed the levying of another assessment on his <br /> property. <br /> Robert Weber of 3221 Skycroft Drive was in favor of the bond issue of 1963 being <br /> carried out on the basis of general levy. <br /> Don Wagner of 3025-31st Avenue N.E. felt their was moral obligation involved and <br /> that the 1952 Council had made a good and honest decision as to how to handle this <br /> project. <br /> Max Callan of 3521 Chelmsford Road opposed the idea of possibly having to pay <br /> someone else's assessments when he had already paid for his. <br /> Earl Shamp of 3509-31st Avenue N.E. felt also that the requirements of the bond <br /> issue of 1963 be carried out on the basis of general levy. <br /> Joseph Weinmeyer of 3101 Townview Avenue seemed to be in favor, too, of the <br /> requirements of the bond issue of 1963 be carried out. <br /> John Wagner of 2921 Rankin Road inquired as to what findings or suggestions the <br /> State Auditor's office had made regarding this issue. <br /> Clinton Hall of 36th Avenue and Silver Lake Road inquired if the two alternatives <br /> were first, was the Council considering an ad valorem tax and second, placing an <br /> assessment on the property owners involved. <br /> Jim Forsythe of 2509-30th Avenue N.E. wondered if the previous vote of 3 to 2 is <br /> valid, will reassessment be applied. <br /> A Murray Avenue resident inquired as to when the State Auditornotified the <br /> Village that there was a deficit in the fund. <br /> Letters were received from the following people opposing the placement of an <br /> assessment : <br /> C.W. Marsh, 2505 34th Avenue N.E. <br /> • Henry Jenniges, 2613 Lowry Avenue N.E. <br /> Charles Kausel, 2525 St. Anthony Boulevard <br /> Mayor Miedtke declared that the public hearings be closed at this time. <br />
